Welcome to Pinay Mompreneurs

I'm sure a lot of people will ask, "What is a mompreneur?" Entrepreneur.com defines mompreneur as a female business owner who is actively balancing the role of mom and the role of entrepreneur. In other words, they are mothers and wives who jugggle their time attending to their business while taking care of their family and homes.

In US and Australia,  mompreneurs (spelled as mumpreneurs in Australia) bring in a big chunk of income to the family and tax to their government. The screnario is pretty much the same here in the Philippines. I have seen a lot of women who work from home while taking care of their kids and husbands. From selling stuff to providing services to blogging, Filipinas mompreneurs are everywhere and I would like to feature these women on this blog. I hope to inspire moms and women as we fight for equal opportunities and prove that we can also do what men can do.

For women who want to put up their own businesses, I will also feature tips  and business suggestions that you can do at home. Based on experience, talking to friends who have established their own businesses, and reading and following different blogs, I saw how a good business works and how it can be profitable.

I would like to credit Miss Jen Dalitz of sphinxx for giving me the inspiration to create this blog. She inspires and motivates a lot of women in Australia, to manage their work and life priorities. She also provides leadership development to help women to develop their confidence and maximize their full potential both at work and in life.
